Great Gates can supply you manual or automatic gates, or supply automation for an existing gate. We have probably the widest selection of automation systems available from one supplier in the country.

The choice of automation system will depend on your individual requirements and will be carefully selected to meet them perfectly. Normal systems will require a certified mains supply adjacent to the gate, whilst some low voltage systems can be supplied with low voltage from inside you home or powered by batteries charged up by solar panel.

These systems can then be combined with a selection of access control products including keypads, audio or video entry systems, wireless audio entry and GSM/PSTN entry systems.

  • Sliding Gate Motors
  • Systems are available for sliding and cantilever gates weighing from 300Kg to 6000Kg. Most sliding gate operators will move a gate at 0.16m per second so a typical 3m gate would take approximately 20 seconds to fully open.
  • Duty cycle will also be affected by the length of the gate. In selecting which operator is used the duty cycle required will be considered.
